Kim Saltzman
Kim specializes in eating disorders, anxiety, sex addiction and trauma. By integrating various counseling techniques and philosophies, she offers her clients the most current and effective methods of treatment. Having been in the same “shoes” as many of her clients, Kim is able to empathize with their struggles, as well as offer valuable insight and helpful tools to guide them down the path of living their full potential.
After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University, Kim attained her teaching certification and taught at the elementary level in low income high risk schools for seven years. Her love of teaching, encouraging her students and working with their families bore the idea of her pursuing counseling as a full time vocation. Kim went on to earn her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University where she graduated from the top of her class.
She completed her counseling internship at The Pregnancy Assistance Center North where she with worked teens, women and families in crisis. In pursuing her dream to work as a private practitioner, she accepted a position with Lois Thomson-Bowersock & Associates. She had the privilege of working alongside and learning from Lois, one of Texas’ foremost counselors specializing in helping families and individuals affected by addiction and related problems. Now in her own private practice, Kim continues to meet with clients from The Woodlands, Spring, Tomball, Magnolia, and the greater Houston area, to provide them with effective, caring, and compassionate counsel.
Outside of the office Kim enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Whether it be a game of cards, attending a cooking class, laughing over a cup of coffee, or exploring warm weathered vacation spots, she enjoys interacting with and learning from God’s wondrous creation!
Kim lives in The Woodlands, TX with her family. She has three children, two sons, Owen and Aeden, and one daughter, Emma Kate. Currently, she does not have any four legged babies after the unexpected loss of her last Great Dane. In due time, she will adopt another doggy for the family to love on…
